My Walgreen trip

I am not sure that I have Walgreen totally figured out but this is what I did this week.
I have quite a few transactions but hopefully you see that they were worth it.

Also, you should know that I purchase 3 newspapers a week. (from the 99cent store so I pay $3 for 3 newspapers WITH COUPONS) My mom happened to come by my house today and give me another SmartSource so I have 4.

I did have some problems but I am learning how these Register Rewards work. :) Here was my trip


Transaction #1

I paid $1.27 after tax OOP

Transaction 1B
I tried to use my RR from transaction 1 to buy another Electrasol for free, but I learned that you can't use the RR on the SAME item. It did take my RR but it did not give me another RR for the next transaction. I spoke with a manager to ask questions because I was totally confused. She was great and explained it great. She also gave me $1 RR because I didn't know about the RR rules.

I picked up one Elecrasol for .99
needed to purchase something else so it is above $1.
I got a stupid carmel candy thing for .39
after using my RR (that I was not suppose to) my OOP was .66


Now I do have 1 RR left (that the manager nicely gave to me)

used 1 Register Reward from transaction #4
Total FREE no tax on food. :)



On my trip I got 4 Electrasol Finish Quantum Dishwasher Detergent, 2 Neosporin Lip Health products, 2 folders, 1 bleach, 1 salt, 1 baking soda, 3 Hunts tomato sauce, Wax paper.
That is 15 items for $4.73

I understand that I messed up on transaction 1B. If you did the exact same thing the right way your total would be $5.34 and you would have another Register Reward to use for your next trip.

I have never used the Electrasol but I figure that dishwashing soap cannot go bad and it is a FANTASTIC deal. The rest of the things I purchased are because I know that I will need them at some point. I could have saved my RR for next week but I could use the other things that I purchased. Hope this helps someone.
