AUGUST GOAL

Well I just realized that today is AUGUST 31 ~ 10:21pm to be exact, since I am in my pajamas I guess my AUGUST goal is complete. I am not planning on leaving to purchase anything tonight. Tomorrow I am planning on restocking the lettuce, bananas, grapes, and celery to name a few. I was going to go today but it was a MAD HOUSE over here.
My end of the month totals were better than I thought they would be $122.44
Hope you had a wonderful August!
Thanks for letting me share.

I have just printed out $2/1 coupons (2)
I decided to try them out with the overage to see if it would work.

Staples 8/15/10

Could this picture be more blurry! WOW.... well hopefully you can see what this is. :)I had a $6 reward check for turning in 2 ink cartridges last month. I know that I wanted to get the 1 subject notebooks for 1cent (limit 6) min $5 purchase to get the notebooks.

Oh did I mention that the 2 reams of paper had a EASY REBATE attached to them. :) I filled out the info and I will be getting 2 rebate checks for $4.98 each. That makes this shopping trip a $5.20 moneymaker.
Too bad it will take 4 weeks to get that money. So I will be taking this total and deducting it from my monthly goal.

Vons 81510

I went into to Vons because I figured out that if I picked up 1 Cheerios, 1 Nut Clusters, and 2 Nature valley bars my total would be about $.75 after all my coupons. To my surprise after all the Ecoupons from Shortcuts.com and Cellfire.com my total was $.61 BEFORE MY MQ. I was shocked and for some reason I told the checker to re-ring all these items (I would go back and pick them up) and then I could use my coupons. My total was $3.32 and I had a $3.50 catalina print out for my next Vons trip. :)

6 Shout Trial size wipe and go $.97
3 $2 /2 any shout SS 8/8/10
*** For some reason it only took off $.97 three times, when I complained, the cashier explained that the price of the item was only $.97. I stood my ground and explained to him it is $2 off 2 products so he needs to rescan them 3 more times so that all are free. He did so but it took $.97 four times and then $2 off once. I have NO idea why it would do that but they were still free. :)

My total OOP $5.81 Tax alone was $.88

Total OOP for everything was $13.73. I also received $7 in RR and a $5 catalina so it was like spending $1.73

August 8/7/10 - Albertsons

I found some pretty cool deals at Albertsons with help from Calling all Super Savers.
I picked up:
2- Raisin Bran was $2.5
2- Cinnabon was $1.99
Not sure why the price difference but because I am blogging this I am looking at the receipt.
6 Kraft shredded Cheese $2.49
- $5 for getting the 10 items above (or $.50 per item)
1 Gallon Albertsons Milk $3.19
2 Silky Bic 10pk razors $3.49ea
total was $34.09 or $29.09 if the $5 for the cheese and cereal came off first (mentioned above).
I used:
$5 off $30 that I received in the mail. (because of the Cinnabon cereal being $1.49 after the
instant $5 off I was a $1 short but the coupon still worked. Not sure what happened
because when I looked at the register before giving her all my coupons my total said
$32.69.)
2- $1/1 Cinnabon cereal SS RP 6/27
1 - $1/2 Raisin Bran SS RP 7/25

2 - $1/2 Kraft shredded cheese blinkie found at Smiths
2 - $1/1 Kraft deli slice coupons found online
1 - $3/1 Bic disposable razor SS 7/11
1 - $3.49 B1G1 Bic Disposable Razor SS 8/1
3 - Albertsons Doubler coupons. (was told only 3 can be used per transaction)
Not that I am looking here I see that she scanned an extra $1 off Raisin bran but I know that it was $1/2.
That makes my total $6.60 and tax was .08 for a grand total of $6.68.

I picked up the Cinnabon cereal because I noticed that it had a MIR attached to it.
So I am going to fill out the paperwork and get my $1.99 back from Kelloggs ( you need the orginal receipt so only can do it once even though I picked up 2 of them)

and then on top of that I received $5 off my next visit just for picking up the Kraft shredded cheese. If you take the $6.68 - $1.99 MIR and - $5 Kraft Catalina I actually got paid to take food home from Albertsons. :)
Because of the August Budget challenge I am not going to factor in the Mail In Rebates (MIR) unless I receive them this month (which I will not, it takes 6-8 weeks) so my totals for spending for the month will be the actual CASH used this month.

August 8/4/10

Today is the 4th and this is the first time I have spent any money this month. :)
I went to Walgreens, I have $16 in RR and wanted to use some.
This is what I purchased:

1 Alive Energy Multi Vit 50 ct $8.50 ($10 - 15% discount)
1 Crayola Washable Markers 8 pk $2.55 ($3 - 15% discount)
1 Crayola Crayons $.85 ($1 - 15% discount)
1 Legal pad $.84 ($.99 - 15% discount)
Total $12.74

I used:
-friends & family 15% discount 08/02-08/04 (discount reflected above)
$1 Alive Energy Q HERE
$.55 Legal Pad Instore ad
use $5 RR Gillette Fusion
use 2- $3 RR Celsius
Subtotal $.19
Tax $.99
Total OOP $1.18
Received $10 RR Alive, $1 Crayons and $3 MIR for the Markers.

This weeks total left to spend is $48.82

August

Hi my name is Geri and I am addicted to couponing. I love the high of walking out of a store with 5 bags of groceries and only spending $5 or less ha ha ha.

I am going to try a pantry challenge of my own.

I am only allowed spend a total of $200 this month ($50 a week) or less, including EVERYTHING I need for the month. I will post what I am purchasing so that you can also see how I am doing.

The first thing I noticed after deciding to limit myself to the $200, was that Albertsons had DOUBLE COUPONs in the Sunday paper. I am glad I at least let myself spend some money this month or that would have just killed me. That is how addicted I really am. :)
